Always encrypted
Every message, call and attachment is encrypted on your device. There is nothing to turn on.
Beta · version 0.19
Chats, calls and photos are encrypted right on your phone. We can’t read them — even if we wanted to. And you don’t need a phone number to sign up.
Features
Everything you expect from a messenger. Nothing worth hiding.
Every message, call and attachment is encrypted on your device. There is nothing to turn on.
Sign up with a username. To restore your account you use one secret word, not a SIM card.
Calls get the same protection as your chats.
Share moments with your contacts. Video notes and voice messages work the way you’re used to.
Talk with friends in groups, or run your own channel for subscribers.
Strangers land in Requests, anyone can be blocked, and deleting your account takes a couple of taps.

How it works
Encryption happens on your phone before a message ever leaves it. Our server only carries a sealed envelope — it has no way to open it.
On first launch the app generates your personal keys. The secret half never leaves the device.
When you message someone new, your phones agree on a shared secret. The server takes no part in it.
Even if one key ever leaked, the rest of the conversation would stay closed.
It hands over the encrypted message and deletes its copy right away.

Our principles
We don’t keep what we don’t need.
We don’t read what isn’t ours.
We don’t know what you talk about.
That’s the whole point.
Download
The app is in store review. Meanwhile, you can join the iPhone beta through TestFlight or grab the Android APK.
New
A device of its own, not a phone mirror: chats, calls and video notes right on your Mac, synced both ways and working even when your phone is off.

The hash proves the file wasn’t altered in transit. The certificate fingerprint proves we signed it: a fake can’t be signed with our key, even if someone posts a matching hash next to it.
File hash — must match the one above:
shasum -a 256 GChat-0.19.0-261018-arm64.apk # macOS sha256sum GChat-0.19.0-261018-arm64.apk # Linux certutil -hashfile GChat-0.19.0-261018-arm64.apk SHA256 # Windows curl -O https://gchat.tech/gchat.apk.sha256 && sha256sum -c gchat.apk.sha256
